Spring Clean Weekend

The ‘Spring Clean’ of the allotment has been a tremendous success with the result that the site is looking in good shape and a lot less cluttered.   We filled the 12 yard skip without any difficulty.   A resident in the flat in Alexandra Gardens , who has a very good view across the allotment, was very appreciative of our efforts, particularly in clearing the rubbish that had accumulated behind the store sheds.

I would like to thank all the many volunteers who have given of their time and have worked so hard over the two days to achieve this excellent result.  I was impressed with the camaderie and good spirits with which we got down to it.
